Hi everyone

There are a large number of useful resources that help with gear selection.

There are two great sites, http://be.imba.hu and http://www.wow-loot.com that are worth looking at.

A useful mod is AtlasLoot http://www.daviesh.net/atlasloot_enhanced/ which has information on all gear available in game, from professions to Arena vendors. Another great site for the munchkins are the Elitist Jerks forums, www.elitistjerks.com. Lots of theorycraft, and loads of info on class and game mechanics. Their class forums are among the best.

A mod that Grignr put me onto is Pawn http://worldofwarcraft.filefront.com/file/Pawn;83933 which allows you to use scales to weigh different attributes on items to see if the stats are better or worse than current gear, based on your own requirements. It can be very daunting at first, but using scales from this forum http://pawnmod.trenchrats.com/index.php takes a lot of the pain out of it. A lot of the scales are based on the Elitist Jerks therycraft. Seriously, read the readme.
